  21. The Program contains 4 DSDD diskettes.
  22. DISK 1 = Database Programs.
  23. DISK 2 = Program Data Disk and Manual on Disk.
  24. DISK 3 = Spreadsheet Programs.
  25. DISK 4 = Expert System Programs.

  27. The Archives have been packaged  using the Public  Domain Program
  28. ARC.EXE.  This program must  be used  to unpack the  Program into
  29. usable form.

  32. The Complete Program contains 4 sub .ARC files plus this file    
  33. DBSSTEEL.TXT.

  35. 2. DBSTEEL2.ARC = original DISK 2
  36. 3. DBSTEEL3.ARC = original DISK 3
  37. 4. DBSTEEL4.ARC = original DISK 4

  40. It is suggested that  each sub  .ARC file be  individually broken
  41. down using ARC.EXE and then copied to individual  DSDD diskettes.
  42. This procedure will then bring the  Program back to  its original
  43. form as delivered.  Because of the extremely large size of each
  44. individual .ARC file, it is impossible to break some of them down
  45. using a 360 drive.  It is suggested to use a "Large Workarea" of
  46. a "Hard Drive".

  49. Please NOTE the following regarding Manual Printing:
  50.  
  51. The manual is included on the disk  number 2 (DBSTEEL2.ARC). The
  52. manual  is a "WORDSTAR"  file named  MASTER.TXT.  You  can either
  53. print  the  manual  out  using Wordstar  or by using  the Program
  54. PRINTMAN.  The program PRINTMAN is  also on  disk number 2.   The
  55. manual is about 55 pages long if printed out using Wordstar.

  57. If  you  do  not have Wordstar  then you  will have to  print the 
  58. manual using the  BASIC program  PRINTMAN.  The  program converts 
  59. the Wordstar file to  the correct  characters and prints  them on 
  60. your printer.  If you use this program to print the  manual there 
  61. will be no page numbers, top margin, bottom margin or left margin 
  62. on your paper (these are put in by Wordstar).
  63. 1. Load MS-DOS or PC-DOS.
  64. 2. Load your basic language.
  65. 3. Put disk number 2 in the default disk drive.  The default disk
  66.    drive is usually disk drive "A" unless you change it.
  67. 4. Make sure your printer is on with at  least 55 pages  of paper 
  68.    ready.
  69. 5. Load the program PRINTMAN.
  70.    LOAD "PRINTMAN"
  71. 6. Run the program.
  72.    RUN
  73. 7.  The  program  may  end  with  an  input past end  error after 
  74.    printing out the entire manual.  This is normal.
  75. It  is  suggested  to  use  a  dot  matrix  printer.  It    takes
  76. approximately 20 minutes to print the manual with a 160 character
  77. per second printer.  It takes  over 2  hours with a  15 character
  78. per  second printer.  Using  the  program PRINTMAN will  also
  79. increase the time.

  85. Testing the Program.
